Verdict 520 Herbicide controls a wide range of annual and perennial grasses in many crops. Verdict 520 Herbicide contains the active ingredient haloxyfop, which has activity on a wide range of grass weeds. Haloxyfop is classified as a group A herbicide, with a mode of action where the weed cannot grow due to inhibition of lipid synthesis.

Haloxyfop belongs to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate (‘fops’) chemical group. For many years, the haloxyfop herbicide has been the largest selling selective grass herbicide in Australia because of its effectiveness in controlling a wide range of annual and perennial grasses and its extensive registrations which include broadacre crops, orchards, vines, ornamentals and plantation cropping situations. Haloxyfop is a post-emergent, selective, translocated, foliar absorbed herbicide for the control of many types of grass in many broad-leaved crops and pastures.
