Gouldian finch

Gouldian Finches

The Gouldian finch (Chloebia gouldiae), also known as the Gould’s finch or the rainbow finch, is a colourful passerine bird that is native to Australia.

Both sexes are brightly coloured with black, green, yellow, and red markings. The females tend to be less brightly coloured. One major difference between the sexes is that the male’s chest is purple, while the female’s is a lighter mauve

Zebra Finch

The zebra finches are two species of estrildid finch in the genus Taeniopygia found in Australia and Indonesia. They are seed-eaters that travel in large flocks.

Zebra finches are more social than many migratory birds, generally traveling in small bands and sometimes gathering in larger groups. They are one of the bird species that is able to learn new vocalizations and have become a dominant model species in the study of vocal learning.

Domestic Canary

The domestic canary, often simply known as the canary (Serinus canaria forma domestica), is a domesticated form of the wild canary, a small songbird in the finch family originating from the Macaronesian Islands of the Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands.

While wild canaries are a yellowish-green colour, domestic canaries have been selectively bred for a wide variety of colours, such as yellow, orange, brown, black, white, and red (the colour red was introduced to the domestic canary through hybridisation with the red siskin (Spinus cucullatus), a species of South American finch).

Cockatiel (Weero)

The cockatiel, also known as the weero/weiro or quarrion, is a medium-sizedparrot that is a member of its own branch of the cockatoo family endemic to Australia. They are prized as household exotic bird pets and companion parrots throughout the world and are relatively easy to breed compared to other parrots.

As pets, cockatiels are quiet, nondestructive, and easy to care for. They’re also known to be gentle, making them great pets for all types of families, including those with children. Cockatiels are entertaining pets who are playful and amused by even simple toys.

Bourke parrot

Rosea Bourke Parrot

The Bourke’s parrot is a relatively small species. They tend to vary between 18 cm and 23 cm in length with a tail length of approximately 9 cm. The females of the species tend to be slightly smaller than the males: males of the species weigh between 47 g and 49 g whilst females weigh between 41 g and 49 g. Both sexes look very similar until the age of nine months, after which they come into full plumage colour.

The Bourke’s parrot is native to Australia. As a nomadic species, following water and food sources, it has a vast range. The Bourke’s parrot is mainly found in sparsely populated areas; however they have been known to dwell in urban areas as well.

Guinea Pigs

The guinea pig or domestic guinea pig, also known as the cavy or domestic cavy, is a species of rodent belonging to the genus Cavia, family Caviidae. Breeders tend to use the name “cavy” for the animal, but “guinea pig” is more commonly used in scientific and laboratory contexts.

They Have Big Personalities And Can Be Very Affectionate. Guinea pigs have long been popular first-time pets for kids. In addition to being easy to care for, they’re a lot of fun! Known for their gentle nature, guinea pigs are often very social animals with a lot of character.

Quail

Japanese Quail

The Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica), also known as the coturnix quail, is a species of Old World quail found in East Asia. First considered a subspecies of the common quail, it is now considered as a separate species.

Some 28 different call types have been distinguished based on the circumstances in which they are used and the various behaviors that are exhibited during the call.

Peking Ducklings

The Pekin or White Pekin is an American breed of domestic duck, raised primarily for meat.

The breast is smooth and broad and does not show a pronounced keel. The head is large and rounded, and the neck is thick. The plumage is creamy white, the legs and feet are a yellowish orange. The beak is yellow,   fairly short, and almost straight.

Chicks

Chicks ( Mixed Breeds)

Chicks are baby chickens! Baby chickens are called chicks, 3 month old females are called pullets (until they start laying eggs around 6 months), adult females who lay eggs are hens, and males are roosters, cocks, or cockerels.

Emden X Pilgrim Goslings

Raising and caring for geese may be easier than you think. Baby goslings require less heat and time in the brooder than baby chickens do. Some breeds, like the Emden, feather out quickly and grow very rapidly, so your time as “mother goose” is relatively short-lived.

Goslings
Lovebirds

Lovebirds (Small Parrot)

They make a good pet bird for a first-time bird owner because they are relatively easy to train but you need to remember that they will play up if they don’t get plenty of attention even if you train them well. With diligent attention, you can train them to fetch and do tricks like spin around and bob their heads.

It may be advisable to house lovebirds either by themselves, or if a mixed collection is desired, ensure they are kept in a large flight with a few feeding stations
