Propyzamide 500 SC Herbicide delivers selective control of certain grasses and broadleaf weeds in lettuce, legumes, pastures, sports turf, and home lawns. With 500g/L Propyzamide, it provides effective post-emergent control of Winter Grass in turf.

What turf species can it be used on?

This herbicide is suitable for Winter Grass control in:

• Common Couch (Green Couch / Bermuda Grass)
• Queensland Blue Couch
• Buffalo Grass

Note: Do not apply to bluegrass, ryegrass, fescue, or bentgrass lawns. Some varieties, such as Kikuyu, may suffer significant damage. Always test small areas first and check turf safety 6–8 weeks after application.

How does Propyzamide 500 SC Herbicide work?

Propyzamide is a systemic herbicide absorbed by the roots and translocated throughout the plant. For best results, apply before germination or to young, actively growing Winter Grass plants in Autumn or early Winter. Immediate irrigation with 12–25mm of water is essential to move the chemical into the root zone, followed by the same irrigation within 24 hours to solubilise the active ingredient for full plant absorption.
