Recommendations for Use
- Vaccinate where scabby mouth is common or as a routine at lamb marking
- When starting a vaccination program, treat all sheep and lambs
- Vaccinated sheep can transmit the virus to unvaccinated animals
- Check vaccination “takes” one week after administration
Dosage and Administration
- Administer using the SCABIGARD applicator only
- Scratch 4–5 cm on bare skin (brisket or inside foreleg) at a 45° angle without drawing blood
- Ensure blue dye covers the scratch for accurate dosing
- Do not use antiseptics on the site before or after vaccination
- Safe use at all stages of pregnancy but vaccinate at least 6–8 weeks before lambing
Applicator Care
- Clean and maintain daily according to manufacturer instructions
- Do not use disinfectants to clean the vaccinator
- Dispose of applicator at the end of the vaccination season

Storage
- Store at 2°C to 8°C (refrigerate, do not freeze)
- Protect from light
- Do not leave vaccine in applicator overnight
- Dispose of unused vaccine at the end of each day

Additional Information
Scabby mouth is a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted to humans. Always wear gloves when using SCABIGARD. Complete vaccination at least 6–8 weeks before shearing to reduce the risk to shearers.
