Kwik Start colostrum supplement is a vital support tool for newborn immunity in calves, foals, lambs, kids, cria (alpacas), piglets and fawns. Made from 100% bovine first milk, it delivers concentrated immunoglobulins and antibacterial compounds to help protect vulnerable young animals when maternal colostrum is insufficient or unavailable.

Why Use a Colostrum Supplement?

Newborn livestock are born without immune protection and rely on Passive Immune Transfer (PIT) from colostrum. This must happen within the first few hours of life. By 12 hours, absorption drops to 20%, and by 24 hours, just 5%. If maternal colostrum is lacking in quality or volume, Kwik Start helps bridge the gap and reduce the risk of failure of passive transfer.

Feeding Directions

• With maternal colostrum: Add 200g of Kwik Start to 2L of colostrum to boost antibody concentration.
• Without maternal colostrum: Mix 200g with 650ml warm (not hot) water and feed as soon as possible after birth. Repeat within 6 hours.
• Feed at least 10% of the animal’s birthweight in colostrum within the first 6 hours of life.

• Calves & Foals: 200g in 650ml water or into 2L colostrum
• Lambs & Kids: 25g in 80ml warm water, fed 4 times in the first 24 hours
