Description
Algae Remover -Cupricide
Cupricide Algae Remover is an effective, economical solution for controlling a wide range of filamentous and planktonic algae. Formulated as a copper alkanolamine complex, Cupricide works systemically by penetrating algal cells and inhibiting photosynthesis, without the high toxicity risks often associated with traditional copper sulphate treatments.
Where can Cupricide be used?
- Irrigation canals and farm dams
- Ponds and ornamental lakes
- Potable water supplies (when used according to label directions)
- Recreational and aquaculture water bodies
Why choose Cupricide?
- Controls both filamentous and planktonic algae
- Low toxicity to fish when applied correctly
- Organic chelating agents prevent copper precipitation
- Liquid formulation for easy and even application
- Suitable for drinking water applications (label directions must be followed)
Recommended dosage rates:
- Light algae growth: 2L per megalitre
- Medium algae growth: 5L per megalitre
- Heavy algae growth: 10L per megalitre
Directions for Use
Apply Cupricide at the first signs of algae under calm, sunny conditions when water temperatures are above 15°C. Break up any floating mats before or during application. Always treat shoreline areas first to allow fish to escape. For dense infestations, treat only 1/3 to 1/2 of the water body at a time, with the remaining areas treated 14 days later to avoid oxygen depletion and fish stress.
