Vetsense Rehydrate for Horses

Vetsense Rehydrate is a concentrated oral electrolyte solution for horses. It helps maintain and restore normal electrolyte balance lost through sweat during training, racing, competition, travelling, and hot weather. By supporting hydration, it aids recovery and keeps horses performing at their best.

What Does Vetsense Rehydrate Do?

• Replaces electrolytes lost through heavy sweating and exercise.
• Supports hydration and recovery in hot or stressful conditions.
• Helps travelling horses stay hydrated and ready to perform.

Composition

Each litre contains (as ions): Chloride 63.96 g, Potassium 30.36 g, Sodium 40.45 g, Phosphate 23.17 g, Sulfate 11.59 g, Magnesium 2.93 g, Glucose 260.0 g.

Directions for Use

Always provide clean, fresh water after dosing. Vetsense Rehydrate can be given by oral syringe over the tongue with immediate access to water, or diluted into drinking water.

Dose Rates (450–500 kg horse)

• Light work: 40 mL
• Moderate work: 60 mL
• Heavy work: 80 mL
• Endurance or heavy sweat loss: 80 mL

For ponies under 350 kg: use half the above dose rates.

Diluted Solution

• 40 mL in 2 L water for light work
• 60 mL in 3 L water for moderate work
• 80 mL in 4 L water for heavy work or endurance

Special Dose Rates

• Severe dehydration: 6–8 L of diluted solution (40 mL per litre of water).
• Endurance exercise: 60–80 mL over the tongue, followed by water.
• Travelling: 40–60 mL over the tongue with water, 30–60 minutes before travelling. Repeat every 2 hours and again on arrival.

Safe for use prior to racing – will not elevate plasma bicarbonate levels or breach racing rules.
