Description
Ketol Anti-Ketogenic Agent
Ketol is a drench used for the treatment of acetonaemia (ketosis) in cattle and pregnancy toxaemia in sheep. Helps elevate blood glucose levels and depress blood ketone levels.
Composition: Each L contains monopropylene glycol 832 g, choline chloride 20.6g, potassium iodide 1.74 g, cobalt sulfate 1.1 g, glacial acetic acid 390 mg.
Withholding Period: Nil
Administration: Administer as a drench in drinking water or on food.
Dosage:
- Sheep:Â Pregnancy Toxaemia (Sleepy sickness): 125mL daily. Treatment can be given for up to 10 days.
- Cattle:Â Acetonemia (Ketosis): First day 250mL morning and evening for 2 days. Days 3 & 4 reduce to 125mL morning and evening.
