How It Works

Training and racing increase the demand on fast twitch muscle fibres, which rely on optimal hydration and mineral balance for peak performance. Furosemide can cause significant losses of sodium, chloride, calcium, and magnesium, affecting stamina and recovery. Race Recovery strategically replaces these minerals, encourages drinking, and supports faster return to peak condition.

Feeding Recommendations

• After galloping with furosemide: Give 60g Restore® Paste to stimulate thirst.
• Then feed 60g of Race Recovery twice daily for 2–3 days.
• For daily training: Feed 60g per day to replace electrolytes.
• Endurance horses: Feed 30–60g at vet checks and for 2 days post-ride, using Restore® during training.

*Dosages based on a 500kg mature horse. Adjust as needed and always provide free-choice clean water. Consult a veterinarian before feeding electrolytes to horses not drinking normally.
