L-Carnitine Injection supports energy production and muscle function in performance animals by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they’re converted into fuel. This injection helps reduce lactic acid buildup, delays muscle fatigue, and boosts both sprint and endurance capacity in horses and dogs under physical stress or training pressure.

How It Works
L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative vital for transporting long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria (the energy centres of cells). In athletic animals, natural production or dietary intake may be insufficient to meet high performance demands. Supplementing with L-Carnitine optimises energy supply, prevents muscle breakdown, and delays fatigue during intense or prolonged exercise.
When to Use
- During periods of heavy training, racing or competition
- To support recovery from fatigue and muscle stress
- In high-fat diet programs for enhanced performance
- In late pregnancy to support foal survival and muscle development
- For animals recovering from illness, liver stress, or weakness
Dosage and Administration
- Adult Horses: 10mL three times weekly, or as directed by a veterinarian
- Performance Horses: 20mL to 25mL twice weekly, with the second dose 4–6 hours before work
- Dogs: 1mL per 10kg of bodyweight
- Broodmares: 10mL twice weekly during the last two weeks of pregnancy to support foal vitality
