Description

Hippiron Iron Injection

Hippiron Iron Injection is formulated to treat iron deficiency anaemia in horses, including cases caused by parasites, poor nutrition, or blood loss. By improving red blood cell formation, Hippiron supports better oxygen uptake and overall performance, particularly in racing and working horses.

How does Hippiron work?

This injectable treatment contains 20mg/mL elemental iron as Ferric-Hydroxide-Sucrose complex. Once administered, it breaks down into usable iron that is stored in the liver and later transported to support red blood cell production. This process helps restore healthy blood function and energy levels.

Indications for use

  • Iron deficiency anaemia in horses
  • Anaemia due to parasitism, haemorrhage or poor diet
  • Improves oxygen uptake and performance

Dosage and administration

  • Foals: 10mL (200mg) once weekly via intravenous injection
  • Adults and Yearlings: 20mL (400mg) once weekly via intravenous injection

Frequency and duration of treatment should be based on severity of deficiency and veterinary guidance.
