How to use your Fel Eür bedding

1 – Setting up your stable

For the initial set-up of your stable with Fel Eür bedding, we recommend using 8-10 bags to comfortably fill your stable, depending on its size.

Start by laying all of the bags out on the stable floor, and cut them open using the handy cutting lines.

2 – Activating your pellets

To activate (when the pellets swell and fluff up) your bedding, simply add water. Each bag will take approximately 8 litres of water to activate it.

It takes about 20 minutes for the pellets to activate, but if you are in a hurry, use warm water to speed up this time. Please note that it is normal for not all of the pellets to fully break down at this stage.

3 – Fluffing up the bedding

Once the pellets have activated, tip them out of the bag and fluff them up with a stable fork. Lightly water down the bedding with a hose or bucket to ensure that any pellets that have not yet fully activated can absorb more water, and then fluff up with your fork again to create a soft and fluffy bedding.

4 – Stable maintenance

Fel Eür bedding is super absorbent which means that it is easy to clean out your stable daily by removing the completely solid or saturated bits of bedding. Lightly damp patches can be fluffed with a fork. Depending on how messy your horse is, we recommend adding 1-2 new bags of Fel Eür bedding to your stable per week.
